Peas are one of the world’s oldest crops cultivated by humans. The gathering of wild, whole peas for use in food dates as far back as 9750 B.C in Southeast Asia. From here they spread across Asia, and through the Mediterranean. Peas are used globally as ingredients in food products, animal feed, pet food and aquaculture.

Green Whole Peas are traditionally used for soups, or stews and consumed across Europe. Green peas have sweeter taste while, yellow peas have nutty taste. Today, Russia and Canada are the world’s largest peas producers.
